There's still time to do some spring cleaning and get rid of your old TVs, VCRs and computers. In honor of Earth Day, do yourself (and the earth) a favor and recycle the electronic junk that's invading your space. There are two more events left for April. Here are the drop-off following locations:
Brooklyn
April 30, 2011 | 10:00am - 4:00pm
PS 29 Schoolyard, Baltic St between Henry St and Clinton St, Brooklyn, NY 11201
Queens
April 30, 2011 | 10:00am - 4:00pm
Sunnyside Community Services, 39th Street between Queens Blvd and 43rd
Ave, Queens, NY 11104
For more information, check out this website for more info on e-waste recycling.
Here's a few other ways to do your part to help out Planet Earth:
*Donate old clothing and other items to a local Goodwill or Salvation Army.
*Organize a clothing swap with friends or at your school. Exchange clothes and get a whole new outfit.
*Recycle cans, glass and plastic on recycle days for your area.
